TOPIC: Looking for Ride Along in NY or Northern, NJ

Hello my name is lenny.I just finished inspector school and will be taking my state exam soon.I am in Long Island New York and am interested in shadowing a professional home inspector.I would be gratefull for any help. My e-mail is l_mestel @ yahoo.com. Any input apprtiated

Join a home inspector association in your area.  Local, state, or national it does not really matter.  Attend the meetings and get to know the other inspectors in your area.  They are the ones who will take you on ride alongs.

There is a lot of bickering about which association is the best.  Clients don't know and don't care.  Join the one that has regular training and meets near you so you will attend. 

Remember that at least half of this job is writing and communicating.  Spelling, grammar and punctuation count.  I recommend you practice at every chance, particularly when posting on forums.  It will  help to develop better habits.
