Hi Brian,
Some themes are fixed width (such as Theme 2 that you're using), some auto adjust to the full size of the monitor (like theme 3). The reason for this is that there are many different monitor resolutions, meaning they have a different pixel width. (Anywhere from 800 to 1440 is common and even higher). When your top of your theme has a picture, the picture is a fixed size, it's not something that could be infinitely large and scale up or down. Because of this we design some of the themes to match the smallest resolution commonly used (800x600) so the top image is 800 pixels wide (on a few it's a bit wider but the extra pixels wouldn't be missed if cropped). The themes like 3 don't have a picture that spans the top of the theme, it just has a small image in the top right corner and the rest of it is a repeating pattern. The bigger the monitor, the repeating pattern just adjusts. This is one of many considerations you have to make when designing sites so we help you out by designing the themes with this in mind (as well as the fact that themes look different on different browsers). Hopefully this makes sense! Right now you have white gaps, but if Mark Timpani (who uses 800x600) looked at your website he'd see no white at all. Dominic |

An average computer screen right now is a 17" monitor running 1024x768. All the themes will come close to filling it. Themes like Theme 3, 24, 25, 26. You'll notice any themes that have an image or are fancier have to have fixed sized images. Go to

to flip through all the themes.
