TOPIC: Website problem!

Hello all:
I was attempting to go to my website this morning and it took a long time to load.
Then I saw this message "Unable to contact server"
It went on to say "If you haven't finished installing Drupal go to the installation page.

At the bottom is says if you don't understand these terms it is best to contact your hosting company.

What is this all about?

Looks okay from my end Doug. Early in the mornings the server does a backup. When the backup his your site the files/database get put into read only for a minute or two so it's possible you hit it during that time.

Keep in mind that Doms' early morning is our lunch time.

I frequently have connection issues in the AM. I always assumed it was as Dom said.

Unfortunately, many of us are already starting our days when this occurs.

Dom needs to go to bed earlier so the backups can start earlier.

He can trash-talk with Stanzyk during normal trash-talk hours, like everyone else!!

LOL. The backups actually start at midnight PST and run for 3-4 hours normally. Each site only gets hit for a few seconds to a few minutes. There's also live backups taken every 5 minutes throughout the day. The nightly ones are just the whole server snapshots.

Okay... everybody syncronize their watches on the five minutes mark... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... SET!
