TOPIC: Move site to HIP

I have been thinking about moving my other site to HIP (We sis talk about this sometime ago). My question is what would happen to any SEO that has been done to it. Would it all be lost or would it matter at all.
Also, when I bought my last domain name I selected www.oshawa-homeinspector.com . Though this is working out well so far the correct thing to do should have been oshawa-home-inspector right? If I understand right Google will look at the 3 words and interchange them as separate words as well as a phrase like Oshawa inspector or home inspector or home inspector Oshawa.

As far as moving the site over. Make all the same pages and content. You'll see some bouncing around on Google but that will flatten out within a month or so.
