How do I adjust the size of my logo that I added to the header so that it doesn't look stretched out and distorted? I've been experiementing by creating a logo through a program called Print Shop, turned it into a .jpg file and then re-sized it in Photoscape-but after many attempts, it just doesn't look clear. Any thought on what I should be doing to make everything look clear and undistorted?

You're on the right track. The site is
www.clearvistallc.com/
for anyone who wants to look. That image is uploaded at the same dimensions you take it at. So if you have a small image to start with, you're stretching to make it fill the whole page. You might want to make your header into multiple images instead, something like
www.colorado-homeinspection.com/
or
www.homestarinspectionsny.com/
have done.

I use GIMP or photo scape to adjust images. Try using the dimensions of the header as a reference. If the header height is 150 then make the image height 150, but make sure that your image program you use keeps the ratio for the image so you do not get distortion. You can also use layers to get the effect that Dom is talking about, or you can just lay the images on top of each other in photo scape, I made the header for this site
www.colorado-homeinspection.com/
and used photo scape if I remember correctly.

Great! I really appreciate the help. I have it looking so that it is not stretched. Dominic, can you tell be the RGB #'s of the blue so that I can get the blue in my header to match better?

Looking better, try to center it better. I am not sure you need to have the same blue, the contrast may be better if you have different blue. Do several different shades of blue or try doing a transparent blue. |
