TOPIC: Increasing Website Registration

I am getting about 100 hits/day, which I am very happy with.  I am surprised to only get 1-2 registrations through the website on a daily basis.  I would expect much higher.

I was thinking about doing pop-up as people went to leave the site.  I know popups are annoying, but they must work -- nearly every commerce based website uses them.

What other methods have others used?

What registrations are you referring to? Let us know so we can look at your site for how you're directing people.

Pop-ups are pretty much useless as almost all browsers block them now. Very few people would see them.

I was using "registrations" generically.  Basically, I want more people to leave their information for a call back, quote, etc.  I feel as though I have more than enough ways to do that, but maybe I am wrong.

If anyone has recommendations on how to capture more visitor information, let me know.

Have you looked at your Google Analytics to see where your visitors are coming from? My guess is that you're pulling in traffic from across the country so only a few of the local people are registering. I'd still say that 2 contacts per day is pretty good though and will only get better with time.

You realize you come up #3 on Google when someone searches for Chinese Drywall (above wikipedia)?

yep....very happy with my rankings.  Took a lot of work, but 100-150 visitors per day isn't bad at all! 

I am thinking that I may be getting a lot of general information visitors.  That is great too, but I am going to try to focus on some longer key words that are more specific to people looking for an inspection.  Maybe that is the answer.

Any suggestions for the site?
