I am looking to make a two part submission form. The first part will collect just basic information (name, phone, email). After completing that form, I would like them to submit that information and then be redirected to a longer, more detailed form. This way, if they decide not to fill out the second form, I would still have the first with basic info. I know how to redirect from the first form to the second, but I need to add prefilled fields in the second form (name, phone, email) so that when the second form is submitted, I am able to tell who submitted it. I see information about prefilled values, but I don't have any clue of what to reference, etc.
how would I reference info filled out in the first form? |

The easiest thing to do would be to make one, two page form the normal way and then make everything on the 2nd page optional. If you still want to do it as you suggested above, let me know and I'll look into a solution.

the two page form would be fine. maybe it is more obvious than I am making it, but I can't think how I would make a two page form that would be emailed to me as one lead.

Under Form Components you can add a type called Page Break. That should be what you're looking for.

ok, I got the two page form working.
on the first page, I have basic info -- name, phone, email address on the second page I have more details -- square footage, address, etc. my concern is that people fill out the first page, hit next page, see the page with more details (even though they aren't required) and close out the form. is there a way to capture the information after they hit next page? I thought about doing two forms, where one form redirected to the second, but then I could not think of a way to compile the information from the first form to the second form, so I would be getting emails that had names and then emails that had the rest of the information without a great way to match them up. does that make sense? |

Try filling out one page and quit and see if it stores in the database. I believe it will as it's set to store even if there's an error but I'd need to try it.
