TOPIC: How can I change the font size of the mission statement?

I do not see an area where I can change the font size of the mission statement. I would like to make my text a little smaller so that people do not have to page down so much to see all of the webpage.

You change it under the box you typed it into. I removed the current size and let it go back to the default, and removed a few extra lines you had at the end of it. You can also get rid of the mission statement all together and just include the text on your home page body. Uncheck mission statement in your theme configuration area to make the box go away.
