TOPIC: Unpublished page

Anyone know if there is a way to create a page and not have it shown anywhere? I want to make one of these and have it password protected. Any ideas?

I know how to have a page not show up anywhere (go to Content in the Admin menu, check the box in front the page, select Unpublish from the drop down list and then click Update) but I have no idea how to make the page password protected.  You intend to make the page visible to select visitors whom you have given the password?

Yes, I only want the page to be accessed to someone that has the url and a password. Top secret experiment, I will fill  you guys in if I can get this to work.

The only thing I can think off right now is the option to show blocks to specific users.  There is an option called: Role specific visibility settings.
Show block for specific roles:
administrator
anonymous user
authenticated user
inspector

Perhaps you could create a whole page in a block.
I don't know how to authenticate a user though. 

I enabled a feature on your site another user had requested that allows pages to be password protected. Edit any page, and you'll see the password protection option on it. Test it out and let me know if it works okay.

Yeah, that works, but not what I am looking for. But, I might be able to make it work. I'll let you know. Thanks.
