Dominic - I hate to ask this question in this forum, but I saw no other choice. I just purchased a new laptop for my business. I am using Windows XP and linked my Gmail account with MS Outlook. I am able to receive mail just fine, but everything I send just goes to the Outbox and stays there. Do you know of a setting that I need to change? I appreciate your help, and again, I apologize to posting this here. Thanks.

Hi Randy,
No problem. Click on Settings in the top right corner of your GMail account, then Forwarding IMAP/POP, and then configuration inspections for POP or IMAP (I prefer IMAP if you using Outlook, which I don't!). It has the step by step instructions for setting up your email for each version of Outlook. More than likely you haven't changed the SMTP port or haven't set it to use authentication when sending email. |
