Instead of the default logo I put in my own but it showed up very small.  I enlarged the picture and uploaded it but the same tiny logo shows up.  I tried to upload just a random picture in its stead but the same tiny little logo shows up.  What should I be doing?
Thanks.

Make sure whatever image you use in that theme is a square or close to it as it'll be resize to fit within the width and height of the green box.

Is one theme easier to use than another?  For instance, are there themes where I can make blocks, resize them and drag them to where ever I want them?  I switched to a few themes to check them out.  On one theme (#4 I think) the logo came out huge and covered most of the page.  On other themes, the header text crossed over on to pictures or appeared to go outside of the page.  If a block could be clicked on to resize it, a dummy like me may be able to do something with it.

A logo will only come out huge if you don't resize it before uploading it. Use a free program like Photoscape to resize. On any of the themes if you insert things too large it will push other things out of the way. There's no way to really prevent that. That's why you want to use blocks so you have control. That way you can size things however you want. The only limit on a block size is it will try to prevent it's contents from interfering with other data. Note 'try'. In some case you just need to shrink your images. Or hit the enter key to wrap text or use a table.

I'm still having trouble with the logo.  (In theme 26 now.)  In "Logo image settings" I uploaded a logo but it stretched it out of shape. I resized the logo to match the size that the streched logo ended up being, and saved it as a separate file.  I hope this makes sense.  I tried to upload this resized logo but I can't get it to install.  The stretched one keeps coming back up.  It must be in the memory somewhere or something.  What should I be doing to change my mind from one image to another?  Thanks.

Don't use the logo via Theme Settings at all. Uncheck that box. Go to blocks. Set the header block to print in the header region and save. Then edit the header block and add your image there. The image via Theme Settings is a fixed width to make things easy for some people. You want a bigger size so use a block.
