Welcome,

I originally designed my site and content using Web4 software, and have it pretty much the way I want it to look, but have never completed uploading it to the internet. I am switching to an Insectorpro design and web hosting--it seems to make sense to me to use design and hosting focused on my industry rather than a generic and I like what I have seen so far--so I'm looking to get started (Dom has already created my site). Since I already have done most of the development, my simple mind says try to take what you have already done and incorporate it, including the "look" and graphics if at all possible. I guess my question is how much graphic editing versatility is there in the themes and where can I find the info if it exists? For example, if I like a particular theme format but want to change most of what it looks like (background, headers, colors, images, etc. or add buttons, etc.) is this relatively easy, takes an act of Congress, or is simply not do-able? The tutorials will be great for developing content once I have a theme, but don't seem to be much help on messing with the underlying theme format. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places for info. So, before I get a little bit pregnant and go down a wrong path, it seems like the forum might be the place to start so I can take advantage of your collective experience. I'm sure I'm not the first to probably ever ask this question so if someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for the help- DrBob |

Bob, I believe most of the themes are pretty customizable. When you log in , go to themes, choose one and then configure it. YOu should be able to change colrs, headers, and things like that. I know a few are more customizable than others.

Dom, Will the new update affect the flexability of existing themes, or only new ones after the update? Do you know the approx release date? Jeff |

At first it will only affect new sites. Then we'll be moving those who want into the new system.
