TOPIC: website counter

I see some guys have counters at the bottom of their page to see how many times it has been visited. How do I add one to mine, and, do I want one?

No you don't. Go to Analytics.Google.com and sign up instead. Then insert the ID into the Google Analytics section of your admin area.

Along with inserting the ID,do I also want to 'copy & paste', to every web page to be tracked, the code:

  (function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i........

</script>

...that Google Analytics generated for me. Would this code be placed in my webpages' body section, source code?
