How do any of you Texas inspectors write Re Inspections. Do you use the Texas Template and eliminate superfluous categories or do you use another template? Same for single point inspections like moisture or mold.

Most guys I've seen use the Advanced Color feature to enter re-inspection comments in a different color.

I typically use a word document and a bulleted list taken from the repair addendum for my reinspections, its super fast that way and the Client doesn't have to re-print a bunch of stuff either.
For single point type inspections I currently use word documents as well just because I haven't had a chance to develop a HIP template for each ancillary service that I provide. As I learn more about HIP I'm finding that if you put some thought in to the design of your template you can make just about anything work, its a lot more powerful a piece of software than it appears to be at a glance...for me at least. |

Don't forget that you can just set HIP to not print anything you haven't commented on. No need to even make a new template.

Copy that, but still my Clients like it really simple...here is the list of items that you asked them to address and here is my response to each item. Just really easy to read that way.
The single point inspections or those ancillary services could definitely be setup within my default template and then selected as needed though, just need to make the time and do it. |
