TOPIC: ZFlorida Templae Needed

Dominic, In the listed templates and reports, there is NO example of a Florida style template. I realize all the templates can be modified, but if someone has one that has been and would share...man I would appreciate it. We generally see a 5-10 KW heat strips and the use of heatpumps rather than a furnace. We do have stem walls, but ofter the foundation is slab on grade. Also, I've seen verbage in some other inspection software that I think is right on for our area. Is there anyone that has a Florida base inspection that would consider offering the template and narriatives. I'm new with HIP and I'm trying desperatly to get up and air borne with my current inspections. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Gordy,

You're going to find VERY few things are not in the default template, if any. You're usually just removing anything you are not using. Take a look at some of our Florida users (we have hundreds) website and you can easily see how they lay things out. Start off with the Sample Report page on Mark & Bob's site: www.waypointinspection.com

I just read your post, and I was amazed at how I could have written that myself, as I am in the exact same boat and feel the same way.
I am transitioning from both Homeguage to HIP, AND from NY to Florida.  Dominic has been a great help. I just need to discipline myself to put the time in to come up with a template that I will be happy with in Florida.

I am not in your market, but just north of you I believe. I'll be interested in seeing how you make out and perhaps we can help each other since we have the same goal here.

Hang in there. Dominic is of a sprecial breed. He undersatands communication and service as well as a very giving person. The message board is profound and I've found many people interested in helping within his network. The software has comsumed more hours than I can tell you but it is just the thing for the inspection business. Once you understand how it operates (and I have found some strange quirks with it) it is a breeze. The thing is, Dominic and many people on this board will help you. I'm just about to finish up on a version of three templates people have allowed me to use. When I'm done I'll be happy to share. What I learned that is as important as the base software, is the inclusion, or I should say, lack of, of documents. I have almost refined what is important to me. I'm down to the wire with several inspections coming up (I hope). but when I get it all done and have a second, I'll give you the templates (I'm doing two, one for residential single family and two, for condo's) as well as the templates. I know what this means to you, so, don't thank me, make a point to tell Dominic about it. I feel like I owe him the world.
