TOPIC: New user woes...

New to HIP, did a complete basic report, just to learn it, printed it, and went back in to tweak what I didn't like. Started playing around with disclaimers from other places, and ended up with someone elses disclaimer, 5 or 6 sentances long, over and over again on my cover page- How do I get rid of it!?!? And how did I get it!?!? Every template I start now has it, and every report i already started has it. And, there must be an easy way to delete all these dummy reports- I'm just not seeing it.

Sounds like you pasted something into Report Settings->Cover Page Footer. Go there and see if that's it.

To delete reports go to your desktop and click Computer->C->Program Files->Home Inspector Pro, then Client Data are your saved inspections, Client Reports are your PDF's. Because new users were accidentally deleting reports we made it so they need to go and delete them manually. Once guys finish with the dummy reports they rarely have to delete a report anyways.

I was using the footer, but now it's blank. Nothing ever showed there.

Got it, seems to be some kind of invsible writing- I clicked on the blank spot and hit Undo- I think my keyboard uses invisible ink............ ???

Did you copy text from another program like Word? Text from other programs often has formatting on it and that will interfere with the program. Paste text into Notepad first then from Notepad into Home Inspector Pro to avoid this.
