TOPIC: TEXAS Template

TEXAS Template 14 years 3 weeks ago #36542

I am having trouble inserting "boilerplates" or general information or suggestions about a certain section such as information on AFCI's, GFCI's etc...  I am trying to create a whole separate paragraph italics all by itself at the top and below the item section.  I am also having trouble figuring out how to separate comments or my suggestions and information, change fonts (underline etc) really just moving and changing the way comments and suggestions are formatted.... I have been playing with it for hours a day for weeks and just cant figure it out.  Is there a tutorial for rearranging comments or formatting below the section.  Alot of reports that I have read and reviewed have information or suggestions or even explanations of what the inspector is required and not required to inspect usually in italics in a paragraph all by itself and comments and other info below.  Does HIP have some other form of training for slow computer software learners like myself??

Hi Cody,

I just responded via email but didn't realize youre in Texas. Because of the Texas TREC committee rules, you are not allowed to have section introductions like everyone else has. You can only have comments within the areas. If you're doing a commercial or single system report you can, but not normal residential. So this is disabled.

The only document you can add is into the Inspector Intro Area at the top of the report.

We should be able to but a boiler plate comment in each comments section under the respective sections?
Under Plumbing: Comments: Cast iron pipes deteriorate from the inside and leaks or blockages may not be visible. Older home we suggest a video scan of the drain pipes...etc.

Is that allowed?
