... i use Black font for materials, blue for observation, and red for defect observation or summery text.

David,
I agree with Bob Elliot’s color scheme. That’s the tried and true HIP default.
Here’s my reasoning:

The client is not really interested in the “description” [Selection/Materials Font] of items in his first initial look/read of the report, (although descriptions may be valuable, later on, for the client’s reference purposes). So I stick with black color but change the font size from HIP program (Selection/Materials Font: Arial 10 BLACK, is what I use, “keep it simple stupid” philosophy)

You do however, it seems to me, want to get the client to read all your applicable “observations and recommendations” [Normal Damage Font].  Here, any color but black directs the client’s attention to your narratives.   (Normal Damage Font: Arial 10 BLUE, for example)

And, of course, it goes without saying; the “Serious Damage Font” should be another color that brings even more attention to the client and agent,   Serious Damage Font: Arial 10 RED

I do very much like your format of your third post, and will probably try something like that also.

Great work David!

Hey Serge, good comments, and nice to see you on the board again! The upcoming release gives you a few more places you can change fonts like photo captions, description text itself, etc.
