TOPIC: CHALK ONE UP FOR THE OLD DUDE.

An old, white haired man, walked into a Jewelery Shop, late one Friday evening
with a beautiful, twenty-one year old girl at his side. He told the jeweler
he was looking for a special ring for his new girl friend.

The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a £5,000
ring and showed it to him.  The old man said "I don't think you understand,
I want something very special for this gorgeous young lady.

At that, the jeweller realized the old man was loaded and brought out a
ring from his exclusive stock.    "Here is a stunning £40,000 diamond ring"
"Is this the quality you have in mind?"  said the jeweler.
The young girl friend's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement.
The old man examined the ring and after some consideration said "We'll take it".

The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the old man said he would pay by cheque.
"I know you need to make sure that the cheque is good" said the old man,
"So, I'll write it now and you can ring the Bank on Monday morning to verify it".  "When the cheque is cleared, I'll collect the ring on Monday afternoon", the old man added.

On Monday morning, a very p----d off jeweler phoned the old man.
"There's no money in that account", he announced. "I know", said the old man,
"But can you imagine the weekend I've just had?"
