TOPIC: What kind of tile is this?

I have never encountered this kind of bathroom and shower tile. Can anyone make out what this is? And how does it compare to normal ceramic tile for durability in water?

It looks like regular ceramic tile. What specifically is it that you feel is different?

It looks like a "high end", maybe commercial type ceramic tile. Of course, if you want to give it a Mike Holmes inspection, you will need to tear the tile off the wall, making sure it is adhering properly, and determine if it has proper concrete board backing, and rip up the shower floor to determine if there is a correct shower pan. If these things are not in place, then "you are a bad inspector who missed these obvious defects"!! ;D ;D
