TOPIC: The Disappearing Vents....

I did an inspection today and had to check several times to make sure I was correct. The hall bathroom vent and kitchen vent line seen below in picture #1 in the attic. For reference the partial structure to the left is the sky light structure. When you go up to the roof, just to the right of sky light, no discharge to vents

Was the roof replaced and someone forgot to finish the job?

Yes, it appears to have been a shingle roof before and they installed the sheathing you see in the first picture. Someone likely put the sheathing down and didn't cut the holes.

In addition, Davin, that is a crappy sky light for your area - not only is the vinyl extremely inefficient, but the insulation is a super-lousy job - not properly covering the sides and no vapor retardation.
