If any of you have done an inspection on a commercial building (which I know many of you do). Do you put the company name in the spot for client? Also who do you have sign the contract and how do you know that they are authorized to sign the contract? (So in cause there was a court situation the company wouldn't be able to say "Mr. So and So did not have authority to sign the contract on our behalf therefore we are not responsible).
Thanks. |

I assign a personal guarantee clause in my agreement terms. The signature area also includes "Title" of the the authorizing agent. If the person signing the contract indicates "Janitor" in the title area then we have a problem Houston...
Many of the best in the industry can answer this and similar questions at the National Association of Commercial Building Inspectors. Visit www.NACBI.org if you currently perform commercial property inspections, infrared thermal imaging, or are considering expanding your business into the commercial or thermography fields. |
