Fairly new to the home inspection industry and have a more than likely easy question to answer. One of my current clients is out of town and will be until after I perform the inspection. Looking for advice on the best procedure to get the pre inspection agreement signed.

Hi Brian,
Within the software click on Contract and the print button which will generate a PDF. Then you can save it to your desktop. Either email it to them and ask them to fax it to you, or fax it directly to them. If they don't have a fax machine they can go to a UPS store or something and fax it for a few dollars, but definitely don't do the inspection without that signed. They can also have a family member or other representative sign it for them in most states but it's always best to have them sign. |

I have my agreements in my documents file and do emailed agreement signatures all the time. I add a line at the bottom that says something like, "Type your name beside the X on the signature line and email it back to me. Your name and email will act as an electronic signature." That way everyone feels good. It also gives the client a long time to review the agreement, so there is no misunderstanding.
