Have the boys at YLH heard of them? Isn't there a whole thread on insurance work over there? I thought I read that a few of those boys do well with Ins. work.

I don't know what YLH is Drew.  This isn't insurance work, per se, it is a listing in a book which adjusters supposedly use to find people to refer for investigations or work.

Only one home inspection company in Northern Virginia is listed on this company's website.  One company.  I have never heard of this company, they don't have a website and the published phone number doesn't work.  I could be that this h.i. company does not have a lot of business and was hoping this kind of thing would drum some up.  Or that they are no longer there.  Or that they never existed.

It appears Claims Pages is something of a phone book, like yellow pages, that has service companies listed inside.

The insurance work guys work directly for insurance companies, not as listings in some manual supposedly sent out to hundreds of adjusters.  If it was popular, or worked as they say, there would be lots of companies in Northern Virginia lined up to be a part of it.

Drew, do you know how to go about linking with insurance companies for insurance work?  I would be interested in knowing.  I used to do roof inspections for a national relo company.  It didn't pay much per inspection, but I could line up bunches in one area and knock off a few in a couple of hours, which made it profitable.

I saw that the Bob and Mark from Waypoint in FL do this type of thing. The roof thing that is. I thought I read a post by Jim McKee and or Charlie Bottger  (I may have spelled that wrong) about hooking up with Ins. companies on Your Leaking House. One of them I think actually had a contact.

We do mainly Roof Certifications for insurance companies specific to Citizens (FLs mega-state insurance company). They want to know the roof has at least 5 years of life in it prior to binding the policy. Avg fee is $150. We also do Four Point Insurance inspections- looking at HVAC, plumbing, electric, roof to determine condition and do they meet today's 'standards'. Insurers want to know that these items are in good condition/insurable. Again the avg fee is $150.
