TOPIC: NHIE Question

Re: NHIE Question 15 years 2 months ago #20996

Thanks guys for helping me to solve this issue. The picure showed that if you would be looking up through the chimney. It was a 3D diagram. I know about the spark arrester needing a screen to keep birds out, but this screens were placed inside the chimney. One upper and one lower.

The picture on the left has a gas line at the bottom. There are fans on top. There are 2, what it appears to be, heating elements feeding from this gas line. Notice that on one blade above there is a hex screw.

As you look at the other sketch on the right. It is a 3d sketch of a chimney. Notice the 2 screens on the inside of the chimney. Is this authorized.

Thanks for you comments...

The one on the left is an Octopus or gravity heating system. That would be the fuel line at the bottom. It heats the fuel and the heat rises through the duct work to heat the house, and the cold air returns by falling back to the furnace. Those are not fans on top, they are duct work.

The screen are spark arrestor and to keep animals and Santa out.
