I always call them back if I do not here back from them in a couple of days and ask them who they went with and what the price was. If the price was higher ask them why they went with the higher price.

I don't call them back. They usually tell me Okeefes out of West Bend is willing to do it for half that, and I send em on their way. Just messing with ya Brian. Michael, everyone hits a dry spell as far as closing the deal goes. Just be glad your phone is ringing, that means  your marketing is paying off. The bookings will come.

I know many of you don't like to work things this way but I let my website sell it for me.  And when I get a phone call, I already know they want to book the inspection.  All I do at that point is gather the info I need during the call and tell them I book it for such & such day and email them a formal quote.

I most likely lose the price shopper calls but to be honest, I'd rather be doing something productive with my time like chatting on here!!!  lol

Maybe you just sound like a dick on the phone? Seriously, try asking them before they hang up why they need to ask or check or anything. I am curious what they would say. I always have them leave a message and never call back. It never fails, your trying to do your buisness and the phone rings!

Dang, Sean!! One conversation with you and your all up in arms!! Anyway, what do you mean by "I always have them leave a message and never call back. It never fails, your trying to do your buisness and the phone rings!"

Do you mean you never call them back? Or they do not call you back? Why wouldn't they want or need to check?

Very hard to roll like this, IMO. Too much other info needs to be gathered to get a fair quote(more than what we list on our request pages). John, you actually want your phone to ring. That is the whole point. You are basically eliminating people with this strategy. Get them on the phone, talk to them, get to know them, and they get to know you and feel comfy and cozy with you. Then you book the inspection. You should be striving to talk to every person that looks at your site. Not a reality, but you know what I mean. Law of averages says, the more people I talk to on the phone about a home inspection, the more home inspecitons I am going to book. Websites are great, but you still have to sell yourself to these potential home inspection clients.
