Not only are baseboard heaters tremedously inefficient but the are als dangerous. They are dangerous because of curtains, window treatment and chords. Do you guys write this stuff up? I do.

The baseboard heater pictured I would write up as you did.
Most of the installs are on additions or areas were the main heat source is not present. If the baseboard heater is in good shape and away from electrical cords, outlets and combustibles then there should be no problems. In regards to efficiency I guess it would depend on energy expenses and a lot of other aspects that would be beyond a general inspection. (Energy auditors) |
