TOPIC: Attaching a PDF to the end of the report

Attaching a PDF to the end of the report 8 years 2 months ago #63176

I am wanting to attach a PDF document to the end of a report. Such as a repair request addendum or engineers report. I am struggling with figuring this out and thought I would ask.

Thanks

It can be done , but it would be easier if you just added it in a separate attachment with the report.

Hi Taylor,

If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro you can combine PDF's in to one, but in order to do so I think you'll need to turn off the PDF security in HIP.  I haven't tried it yet, but that might do the trick.  Another option is to print the documents and then scan them to PDF as a single file...if you have a scanner capable of this of course.

Correct.  In order to do anything to the report PDF like merging to one document, you must turn off HIP security.  I haven't had it on for years since I password protect my reports for posting on my website.  Acrobat Pro is the only way to go.

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball infield, the click of a wooden bat and the taste of a hot dog at a warm sunny daytime double-header.
