TOPIC: Best mobile device to use?

I know this has been discussed before, but technology marches on.

I'm thinking of going with the Samsung Android Camera - not a phone or tablet, the actual camera.

Reason - I need a good quality camera with a good zoom.  The 21X zoom is about the minimum I need.

Anyone have a better option?

Also, are there any issues in transferring the report / data to a windows 10 machine when I get home to proof and finish up reports?

The Samsung Android Camera 2 works great. The only issue is it's a bit more fragile than a camera with an internal zoom lens. Get a warranty plan if you want. If you have HIP Mobile and the Cloud you can transfer to/from the desktop without a problem.

No.

The main issue is most of us in FL have multiple reports per home.  Home, wind mitigation and 4 pt.  Switching between all of the report formats is just too cumbersome, almost impossible.

If they would just link the reports, so that they shared basic info like client name and address, and you could switch between them for photo insertions I would.  It's just a major shortcoming that's too hard to work around on site.  Insurance inspections are a very important source of income and almost everyone needs them.

Bruce, you can merge your home and wind mit so they share all data easily. The new version of HIP Wind Mit also integrates directly with ISN so you can import all data directly into it in seconds.

I'm curious as to exactly how that works.  Is there a training video that covers this?  I assume the two would have to share identical field names, correct?  How do the photos work?  In a home inspection report they typically are integrated into the report.  In a wind mit they typically are at the end of the report.  So I'd have to use ISN to be able to import the client info?  I don't currently use ISN, but might if that's what it takes. 

The same is true for the 4 point?
