TOPIC: 3rd attempt at drop down lists on iPad- is it time to give up?

So I am back at making edits on my template. I am making the third attempt at drop down lists, and like the first two, it does not work. It works fine on the desktop version (mac version 4.4.1).  But when I upload the template to my iPad and select the item to green it says:
The floor is damaged in <<Bathroom location>>
and no matter what I do there is no dropdown anything.  So do the dropdown lists work on iPad or not?  If so what is the trick?

There's an icon along the top that looks like a book you need to click on. That will open the list selector

The list selector works fine in the desktop version and reads perfectly in the generated report.  On the iPad the narrative says "The floor is damaged in <<Bathroom locations>>."  When I click on the book icon on the top the dropdown list on the bottom says <<bathroom locations>>.  There are no choices to pick.  On the desktop version my choices are bathroom 1 bathroom 2 bathroom 3.

Do you see twos scrolling selectors at the bottom of the screen? The right side will have your options
