TOPIC: HIP Photo issues with Iphone 6 Plus

For the most part HIP works great on my phone but it does one thing that drives me nuts. If I try to insert photos to the misc section it won't work. I have to go to the misc folder and add each picture individually. Also if I'm done with a section and want to add in all my photos I've taken with the iphone camera I have to add them individually. I can not click on the open book icon and add more than one photo at a time; in fact if I try to use the open book icon for even one photo it won't work. I've been told it was my phone multiple times so I went out and got a brand new replacement. Same thing. I was told it was that phone so I hired an apple consultant. We tried 5 different devices including an ipad and this feature does not work! I'm tired of hearing it is my device when clearly it is not. I've spent over $500 just trying to cure this one problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? And does the program also do this with Android?

No, the issue doesn't occur with Android. We've tracked it down to a memory issue with some iPhone's and we are testing a solution right now. You can work around this by using a 3rd party app now (Apple didn't allow this before) and reducing the resolution of the images to around 3MP. This will resolve the memory issue.

I'm curious though, why are you not taking all your photos from directly within the software? Why are you taking multiple pics outside HIP and then going back in to batch add?

I always inspect a section and then stop and fill out the report on the phone when that section is completed. I use my camera on my phone just like you would a handheld camera. For example: I don't want to be crawling through a crawlspace taking photos by using the app and having to scroll around to make sure that photo is in the correct section for the crawlspace. I also keep having issues with the photos showing up in the wrong section. Also if I take it from the app it saves two photos to the library and if I need to add a photo taken from the phone I have twice as many photos to scroll through to find it.

How long do you think it will take to fix this? Can you recommend a 3rd party app? I am to a point now that I need either go shell the money out for an android, or find a new software system.

No other software program has batch add like we do.

An easy fix would be to take your photos from the main section in the report. Then you can double tap each photo when you're all done and pic exactly where you want to slot them and it'll move them. This will actually be much faster as you can slot them anywhere in the report just like on the desktop.

Did you turn on the ability for HIP Mobile to save a separate copy outside the program? You can disable this under the Settings menu.

You can also batch add on the desktop which is extremely fast.

I think some of the guys are using ProCamera and then turning the resolution down.
