TOPIC: Adding tabs on the fly during an inspection

Has anyone found a streamlined way to add tabs during an inspection? (Desktop version.) I don't want to create a template with 13 water heater or electric panel tabs. My template currently has 2 water heater tabs, 1 heat pump tab, 2 distribution panel tabs, etc. Yesterday I had 4 distribution panels. While at the inspection, I copied my panel tab 3 more times, entered all my comments, printed my report and went over it with the client. Everything looked fine. Today I reopened the report for final edits and all the comments for the panels  except the last are gone. The comments for the last panel are repeated for each of the other panels (i.e. I now have the same panel information repeated 4 times.) The best part is, of course, that I have no idea what the details were on the other panels.  > How do you handle adding additional components/systems on the fly?

I responded to your email Oni, I think you had the exact same panel name within the same section after copying which is fine.

Most of the time components that people are copying are entire sections which are easier to copy on the fly. Water heater for example is an entire section in the default template so it's easy to copy, but others do just make it a tab under plumbing. How do you have things setup right now?

Dominic. I responded to your email before I saw this. The short answer is "yes", but I have more follow up questions about fixing it that I put in the email. Thanks for the rapid response. All in all, this is way simpler and more efficient than my prior software. Saving lots of time both at the inspection and afterwards.
