TOPIC: Issue with the newest update on Iphone

Issue with the newest update on Iphone 9 years 4 months ago #61545

Now that I can set HIP mobile to save a full resolution copy of a picture I have taken through HIP mobile, how will I know if its a picture that I have already uploaded to HIP mobile or one I took directly with my Iphones camera? I asked you this question earlier when it was in testing and you said that it would save in a different folder but that is not the case.

Hi David,

It should be in a separate folder. Is it just showing direct in your gallery?

That is correct, when I connect the phone to my PC via USB and open the phone as if it was a hard drive, they are all mixed together.

What about on the phone itself in the gallery?

It did create a new folder in the gallery titled with the name of the job I was on. How will that help when I extract them? I normally plug in a usb to my pc and then browse the Iphone as if it were a hard drive and remove pics that way.

The best way to do this if you can is to use a SD card. Set it up so when you take a picture with camera it saves to SD card automatically. Then when you take a picture inside of HIP or while in HIP choose an image from the gallery it will saved in the folder with the inspection report. Once you connect to PC you will 2 sections, one that has your camera stuff including HIP, the inspection you did, and all the images that you choose to be in the report. The other section you will see is the SD card and all the full size images you took. One word of caution, not sure on Iphone but be careful using HIP and taking full resolution images. It might be fine for the phone it self but, HIP uses the same camera settings that send a picture to the SD card, HIP tends to crash when taking large file sizes and then having reduce them down for HIP. Like I said, might not be an issue with Iphone, I use Android stuff. One other reason this is a good way to do it is because GOD forbid something were to happen to your phone and it died, you could just remove SD card and have all the images there. I know it would be a pain but, you could still be home and re-write the report.
