TOPIC: Selection Panels Malfunction - Need Help

Just purchased HIP after playing with it for about a week. Love all the features , but am having a glitch with regards to using "1 damage panel & 2 selection panels"

I created a template from scratch. Every template item that uses this configuration duplicates the text in one selection panel and inserts it into the other selection panel. It doesn't matter which selection panel I enter the text into, it duplicates into the other. I am unable to have separate text entries.

Also, the Description Text duplicates from one side to the other as well. It won't let me have different descriptions titles.

Using the screen shot image, you can see what I mean.

If I add something to the right, it adds it to the left and vice versa, both narrative and description title.

Have tried everything I can think of short of reinstalling HIP.

Hi Steve,

Your selection panel names must be unique within each section (i.e. Kitchen, Garage, etc). HIP actually prevents them from being the same when you create them and I'm pretty sure it checks when renaming but there must be a loophole there somewhere that I need to find. Rename your select panels so they are not the same. Then make a copy of the entire section via Edit Template, then delete the old section. This will reset the internal naming scheme and fix your issue.

Hi Dominic, thanks for the quick response. That did the trick. I just deleted the section just to be safe since I didn't have a lot of narrative text entered yet and then added it again with unique panel names. Working perfectly now. Thanks again
