Hi, I've researched the forum but found no answer to my question.
Why do we need the cloud service with the mobile version? Why can't we just connect the mobile device with the computer and have everything transferred the same way iphoto or itune does? Or can we and I didn't figure it out? Thanks, David |

Hi David,
Apple does not allow data to be directly transferred from mobile to desktop on outside applications so we use Amazons cloud. We pay for the servers on Amazon that convert your data from desktop to mobile and back. We have to pay them every time you upload/download a file and for every day the files are stored. The cloud fee helps cover our costs with Amazon. |

That's too bad. Would be nice to use our own wifi. I found this on the apple site:
To transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer: Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer. In iTunes, select your device (below Devices), and click the Apps button. Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select the app on your device that you want to transfer a file from. From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click ?Save to.? In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Choose. Is there any plan to implement something like this in the near future? Thanks for the reply. David |

Unfortunately this won't work for what we need as it still doesn't allow our software to connect to data on mobile. We also need the servers to convert the data to/from mobile and desktop templates.
