TOPIC: Can you edit templates on the fly with HIP mobile?

Hi,

New user of the software. Just getting acquainted with it now, doing my best to create a nice template for myself and was considering that if I could edit templates on-the-go (on mobile) it would be really cool - for the oddity that's encountered every now and then that may or may not require an updated checklist.

Is this possible?

Only a little.

I have a file with comments pre-selected which I copy and use to start every new inspection. When I want to make a change to my desktop template(like adding a new comment) I insert it into this file on the mobile. The downside is that the order of the comments can't be changed. So periodically I upload/download that file, "New Client Inspection", I reorder my comments and make any additional changes, then I save it as a new or current template version.  Ultimately, this means when I upload that new template to the cloud I will have to make a new file and select my pre-selected comments again, so I don't do this very often. Maybe once every month or so.

That's about the max you can do, adding comments.

Layout and everything else must be done on the desktop.

Actually you can duplicate entire sections and comments and mobile which is big. You can edit and add new comment, etc. Just click Save Template when it's back in the desktop to make it permanent.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I don't have a big need for copying sections like that on the fly, so I only see it when I accidentally hold my finger on a section too long. Can you change section names with the new mobile version?

And apple needs to get with it and release the newest version. I'm sick of waiting.

You could rename but then we took that option out as it was causing problems when sync'ing. It's something we'll return back to shortly.
