The inspectors only put N/A if they purposely want it (required in some areas). If they don't put anything then they can set the item to automatically drop off the report. Is that what you're looking for?

Ratings used to be used by about 80% of guys, now I'd say 20% is high.

  Yes, that is what I am looking for.

• Currently, when I do not click on any of the Rating boxes, the Ratings Box will remain blank but the Rating Boxes still print out.
• I would like the Rating Boxes to print only if I tick on one of the Ratings within the boxes.

It appears that when I select any comment, the Rating Boxes will print out irregardless of whether I tick one of the boxes or not. Hopefully this makes sense

I am not using the Ratings box to rate a particular item (as the Rating feature is currently used by most inspectors). I am using it as a maintenance schedule to inform clients approximately when repair / maintenance works will be required for the particular item.

You can make the item not appear if there's no comments but there's currently no way to make the rating itself not appear if it's not checked. That would be a huge change in how HIP works. I could look into it later but right now am trying to finish working out issues with Mac's Yosemite.

It would be a nice feature if the Rating boxes did not print out when a Rating box was not clicked on, even though I would be clicking on a comment in the section.

The Ratings boxes do not have to be used for Ratings alone. I use them for indicating a time span when repairs works / maintenance is required. This works well, except I have to click Not Applicable (N/A) about 70% of the time when this feature is not relevant which takes away almost any benefit that this feature could have if used differently to what was originally intended for the Ratings Boxes.

Can I remove ratings boxes from inspection screen on computer and or samsung g3, when doing report, particularly on the mobile version, no longer needed.
