I'm using the samsung EK GC100 android camera
But the topic here applies to all tablets used in the field Although I will not use our tablets for pics due to crap quality and no flash etc.. My dilemma applies to those that do as well. When taking a pic of an issue in HIP Mobile it will require the lens to retract fully and me to confirm by hitting save, then return to a screen with the pic in a banner up top and I have to hit camera button all over again to repeat the darn sequence it takes a butt load of time and effort ! I usually will take 3 shots of an issue at different angles to properly articulate solutions and observations with the edit feature and arrows etc.. Is there any way you can allow the camera to maintain the same category and shooting mode and allow me to complete my photo shoot with any given number of shots and then confirm by hitting the save button to dump all of them into the slot (category) ? Jesus this would save my battery and time exponentially and me less frustrated at the time and effort it takes to simply insert a few pics....it's like pulling teeth! |

It actually depends on the device. The save button is a function of the camera app itself, not HIP. The retracting is as well. For example the latest version of the Samsung Galaxy Camera came out with an update and it didn't need to retract any more. Make sure that you've updated and see if that's still occurring. We are working on our own camera app to bypass the save feature.
