I am running HIP Mobile on my Samsung Note 1.  The program has locked during the sync function and nothing has uploaded to the cloud.  I can restart my phablet and open the inspection, add more comments, save etc.
BUT restarting does not fix the sync glitch.  ???
I am thinking I need to reload the program.

Q
If I uninstall and reinstall the program,......will the report still be in there?  I cannot afford to lose all the pix.  I can recreate the comments but not the pix.

Anybody?

yea I'm trying to get a report sent off tonight and I keep getting a lockup when zipping files or an error when it's about to send it to the cloud. Either way I can't get the report to my computer from my tablet.

Here's the steps for resolving this:

You can connect the mobile device to your computer via USB and copy the pics (in the com.homeinspectorpro.mobile\inspections folder) to your desktop just as a precaution. Then follow the steps below EXACTLY and try uploading again.

To do this, use the ES File Explorer application. To install the program on your Android device, click on the following link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop

To delete the file, follow these steps:

1. Open the ES File Explorer application on your device.
2. From the list of folders listed, find the com.homeinspectorpro.mobile folder.
3. Tap on the Inspections folder.
4. Tap on the folder for the inspection that you were previously trying to upload when it locked up.
5. Tap and hold your finger on the file "Inspection.zip" until it is checked.

*IMPORTANT* - Do NOT select the actual folder with the name of your inspection (such as 123_Main_St_02-28-14). Tap on this folder, then select the Inspection.zip file within this folder. Deleting the inspection folder itself (ie 123_Main_St_02-28-14) will cause the inspection to be lost and unable to be recovered. The Inspection.zip file will be recreated the next time you try to upload.

6. Once the file is checked, tap on the Delete icon.

No problem Chad, glad to help! We're still working on ways to catch issues from bad cell signal uploads. We have it greatly reduced but it does still occur at times.

I rectified this by reloading the app.  File was still there.  Everything went perfectly uploading with the reinstalled app.
