Sooo, being new to HIP, I'm a little hesitant to attempt anything without knowing beforehand what the end result will be and how much trouble it'll get me in. Anyway I'm working on a report for a client and I create a comment that I think says exactly what I want to say about a particular subject, naturally it's not already in my template. How do I save it to my default template while I'm working on the clients report?
While I was playing around with test reports awhile back, the same thing came up (at this point it happens at least a dozen times while I'm working on a report and I just write them down and create them in the template later),I thought that I would just click on save template, that seems to have created a bunch of problems for me, it seems to me that that was not the correct way to do it. Would appreciate any help. |

Paul, you can definitely add narratives as you work on the inspection. Then click on Save Template and that will save those comments so they are there on all future inspections. If you have a one time use comment you'll want to pick the closest, move to black/red and then change it. That way it'll only save on the inspection.

FYI, if you change a template on your computer and you are using a mobile device to collect data on site, be sure you delete the old template from the mobile device and then upload the updated template....
