A few years ago, I had a massive attack from Trojans and Viruses that decimated my laptop. Literally lost everything! It took me years to recover from the loss of data, and actually still haven't 100%.
I now backup to "Carbonite" constantly... it's always running in the background. I now backup to "External HD" weekly, or sooner as needed... I now backup to "Mirror Image" on separate External HD, bi-monthly. I intend to be prepared for the next time shit-hits-the-fan! It's not a question of if, but when. |

I'm trying to get these reports out now that were due lastnite,
I had a melt down ,.. sorry for the language it's what I have picked up over the years in my unit in the military, working with UAW Skilled tradesman, construction sites etc.. not very professional I know but lastnite I was everything but a professional when I found myself under the gun and had to call in a "Broken Arrow" sitrep.... I lost everything .....I'm rebuilding while buried in business ...sales have taken off and my phone is busy .. I don't have time for %&$& ups.... Yes I will back up everything now.. just gonna take a long time to get my template to the greatness it was just yesterday . Thermal Imagery Camera to arrive tomorrow and I already have a great interest from Realtors in it's use. Nobody they are aware of even uses one in Ann Arbor on homes for inspections. I'll be merging the Fluke software reports and images into my HIP ... Chat later fellas.. much to do , Thank You for the kick in the keester Bob I know I know....LOL I'll get it together buddy .. Hello Roy.. and Jeff..... Dom hang in there I only blow like this now and then ,, I love the software when I'm rolling with it ... |

Pretty sure the military says to stay prepared.
Next time (now) do so. Right now just download a template and use lots of pic captions. You still have ways to research details and for now leave out the saved code language. Make the report narrative and who knows it might be a learning experience in writing the report without canned narratives. That computer sounds funky. |

No problem Kevin, thanks for posting that.
Make sure to install Carbonite as Jeffrey pointed out. It's only $5/mo and automatically saves everything you tell it to. You MUST tell it to backup all the HIP files (if you need help, let me know). Dan from my office has called you a few times today to try and help you recover your files. Call us when you can and he can help you recover stuff at least from the cloud if not elsewhere. |

sorry I know I was with an agent and the client when he called,,,
too busy to even stop to piss... I'm booked solid till sunday I'll try n call you guys monday ,,,we will get this addressed. Ty for the support n understanding of one highly wound crazy azz inspector trust me I love HIP.....I don't like problems.. My reports are truly something to behold when I create them and it's HIP that makes it happen. I'm major leagued geeked to see how super they are when I have a new Infrared category implemented into my new template. Camera due in mere hours and my newest alpha 2 crm monitor tomorrow. I did manage to salvage an old version of my template from a report in the cloud. But I havnt used the mobile and cloud in so long it's useless so yeah if he can actually manage to help me recover some deleted files with my beloved template and narratives in it I'd be forever greatful.. Call monday .. adios amigos.. I have 2 reports to complete. |
