TOPIC: Adding photos

Re: Adding photos 10 years 11 months ago #55829

Kevin I thought the same thing many times however if you think about it most clients could care less about large MP in a picture as long as it shows the issues.
To answer the question straight however there is a work around by using the "add sketch" button in photo edit at top.

I actually had a workaround adding docs or multiple images (stitching) into one picture once.
Glad I am not doing that anymore as the reports take long enough.

Now mobile is another story.
The app automatically takes small file shots to enable the cloud export or it would take forever.

You can take the photos outside the app and go back in though it sure would be great if a double option was put in.

My personal style of taking an average of 300 shots is because of my personal SOP to record a set amount of components and makes mobile conversion difficult.
Even an extra 10 seconds adds up when on site and the only way for me to compromise is to go in and out of the app.

The issue with that is shots not added in the software will not time sync and in batch add you will essentially have 2 folders.
Like you I am going back to my Sony for now however will still keep up to date on mobile.

Most guys seem to have less issue with on site than myself and it is all because of my focus on the inspection and clients.

Bob we are alike..

My clients love me because I spend a bundle of time with them
and my reports are very in depth and detailed .

I also average 300 plus pics.

It's killing me however..

my sony is sitting here and my new Tab...
I have a ton of things to get loaded and tweaked before another inspection tomorrow.

wish me luck..

The pics do need to be bigger however for my clients to see the desired layout with
annotated markers with regards to the aerial.

so I'm all ears about your work around to do this..

and Bob Ty so much for your replies and support ...

NP,just add them at the sketch button.
If you have lots then you will need to save them as a report to keep in file.

No way to keep photos in a template unfortunatly unless doing the document picture add
which has been discussed on the forum..

Don't forget that PDF's can all zoom to 300% + easily by your client and the quality is maintained.

That does not seem to work well for the graphic text though Dom which is why I suggested the sketch feature.
I add illustrations off file all the time but pick them for how easily they transfer to less MP size.

Defiantly a simple photo add is the fastest.
