Okay so this is kind of a long shot:
I want to make our reports searchable. Mainly so that we can make sure there are no placeholders left such as @, *, etc. I know that I can turn off the encryption, but I like to simply modify the encryption to make the PDF seachable. Is this possible? Can you guys think of any alternative solutions? I do not want users to be able to copy an paste from the reports or modify in any other way. |

Do you mean when you have Adobe open? I can search just fine that way. If not, let me know what you're referring to.

If I generate a report with security features on (Report Settings-> Options-> Security-> Check box is selected) I cannot search it using CTL+F in Adobe. If I generate a report with security features off I can search the document in Adobe. Maybe this is an issue with our Adobe? |

Super odd. Try updating to the latest version of Adobe via Adobe.com.
