Ahh that makes sense. I assume the first inspection is the base. The others always append to the end so they skip that slot on purpose.

so is there no way to re-insert the cover later if it was not in the cover slot on the base file (merged first)?

You can remove the image that's there, then add the cover, then add the removed image to the back. Make sure you have a copy of the image that's in that spot first (from inside HIP or elsewhere).

I removed the placeholder logo but the cover (which was shot inside the software---merged inspection) shows up in slot #2 but is not available for slot 1 (cover position default)

Save the inspection and reopen. Everything will move up to fill blank spots.
