TOPIC: Template .HZF file

OK let me see if I can explain this and not confuse the hell out of me or anyone else. I created a new template and process for my reports. I opened and inspection and went through and entered information that I include in all reports, so I clicked and moved the comments to the black or red box, or highlighted them in the selection panel. I saved it as a template.hzf

Now I opened the template.hzf and enter the clients info and start my report. I made a change to some of my comments, I clicked save template, save inspection and generated my report. All worked well.

I now opened the template.hzf and started my second report and added the client info. All was going well until i realized the comments I changed had reverted to the old comment, the changes did not get saved.

My question is shouldn't the comments have saved when I saved the template or am I doing something wrong?

Your not saving a template,  you're saving an inspection which won't affect your template. Since you want to pre seed comments start an inspection with an actual template and then use the merge feature to add in the selected comments. That way you can use the normal Save Template button.

Ok the merge is grayed out. Maybe I am doing it wrong? And what would I be merging?

Is there a tutorial on merging?

Not yet as it's a brand new feature. I wanted to make sure there was no changes before making one. It's very easy though, just use File->Import Inspection.

I can't click on it, it is gray.
