Hi guys,
I've been playing around with HIP for a week or so now and I'm currently working on my first report from an actual live inspection using HIP. I can't for the life of me figure out how to keep the sub-categories from printing on the report. The only thing I can think of is to manually remove those blank sections from the template, but then next time I use the template I'd like them to be there. For example, this particular house does not have a bar so that is left blank, but some other house I inspect might so I don't want to permanently remove that from the template. Any ideas? I'm pulling my hair out here. |

Report Settings->Section Colors & Print Order to uncheck entire pages and have them not print. Or there's an "Uncheck unused" when you go to print. Also (and I think what you're looking for), under Report Settings->Options->Item Options is the option to have the report automatically not print items within a section (like the bar) that don't have comments or pics.

That's exactly what I needed Dominic, thanks!

Hi Dom,
I'm having the exact same issue only I've tried the method above and the blank items are still printing. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas? Thanks |

Are you checking a rating or adding a pic to those sections? If you do, they will print.

No ratings and no pics in those sections and still printing them. Had to meet a deadline so I added N/A where needed and sent to the client. This inspection was done on my Ipad then synced to the laptop. I tried a test inspection from the laptop only and had no problem. Very odd, it just refused to acknowledge the command to not print those categories.
BTW - thanks for responding on a weekend. |
