I was in the middle of an inspection and HIP locked, luckily I had a checklist to finish the inspection. I renewed my JavaScript last week. It erased my photos, and once again It won't accept my password to upload to the cloud, I'm using a Acer A100 tablet, It was acting up last time also. Am i the only one having problems,?

Hi Buck.
It sounds like you're referring to Mobile HIP. Most guys aren't having any issues but a few do from time to time. Android devices are not meant to run for hours on end so they start to slow down. The trick is to click the back button a few times about half way through the inspection to exit the app, then go right back in. This will free up memory and make sure everything is running correctly. If it locks up you can just turn off the tablet and turn it back on (or hold down the home button and kill the app) then go back in. It auto backs up so you can just pick up where you left off. Your password is case sensitive, as is the username. Make sure you're typing them in properly and that the tablet isn't adding a space to the end of either. This is the SAME username and password that you're entering into the website here. So if you change your info here at homeinspectorpro.com you'll need to change it on the tablet. Remember that the tablet also needs Internet when you're download/uploading to the cloud. Your pics are there, connect the tablet to your computer and batch add from the com.homeinspectorpro\inspections folder on the tablet. If you need help with this let us know. There's a new version of mobile HIP coming out soon (probably towards the end of next week) that adds several new features and more stability. We were able to work around some of the issues a few devices are having. |
