TOPIC: MS Surface Pro

Peter.....These two tablet are excellent options for HIP.  The 1st is the Lenovo Tablet 2.  Its a 10.6 display with a wacom pen. An optional bluetooth keyboard can be purchased.  The second is the Sony Tap 11. The Sony has an 11.6 display with an N-Trig Pen and comes with a full size RF Keyboard. 

In the first (2)pics I'm at the Oakbrook, IL Microsoft Store where I've loaded HIP.  Works great! The 3rd pic is at a Sony Store.

For me, the 8.1 Dell is just a little too small. I also like the optional keyboard when when putting reports together onsite. Another good option is the Lenovo Thinkpad x230t. However, that being said, today's inspection was 5 hours, 350+ pics... and I WILL be typing for hours putting it together.

I already use a 14 inch notebook on site and have convinced myself that c,8 inch tablets is the way to go. !0-11 inches is just to big to carry around, however my view may change after using an 8 inch for a few weeks.

Pete...I use a 4 lb 12.5" Thinkpad tablet which has served me well- but coming to the end.  The Thinkpad Tablet 2 is 1.2 lbs

Peter...I'll be interested to see how the 8.1 Dell works,  keep me posted. I just purchased the Sony Tap 11.  So far I love it.  haven't load HIP on it yet.  Business has been good, and haven't had a chance to load it yet

The Dell 8-pro "8 inch" won't be launched in my neck of the woods until the end of November. Checked out the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 today and it feels too heavy to carrying around on an inspection.

If you have a Microsoft Store around...check out the Lenovo Tablet 2.  It's geared toward "Enterprise" business' and is only 1.2lbs
