TOPIC: Why upgrade to ver. 3? Convince me.

Hello DM. I've got the old HIP ver 2.9 and it is working good, with no serious glitches as long as I never install new versions of Java.

I don't use mobile devices, just a laptop and a PC. What am I missing by not upgrading to the new ver 3.1?

We're actually on 3.4.6 with an update coming out soon. So you're almost 18 months and a dozen updates behind. You don't save anything by waiting as each upgrade is for a full version of HIP and all the updates. So the longer you wait, the less benefit you actually get.

Where can I find info/instructions on using these features.  I'm reading through posts and searching, but not finding how to use these features.

I see people using [[ ]]  what does this do?

Hi Clint,

Most of what you want is under Tutorials at top of the site.

[[ ]] is a note field. Anything you type within the brackets won't show in the report.
Dropdown, stationery, recallchek are all tutorials.
3 photo across and photo quality are under Report Settings->Options->Picture Editing
Borders per section are under Report Settings->Section Colors & Print Order
Additional templates are in the template section here on the message boards.
Pre Loaded Captions and Notes are both buttons you see when editing/adding a comment. Hover your mouse over each for a full description.
