TOPIC: Laptop and tablet

New user here, searched the forums and did not find a definite answer

Since I am trying to set this program up for use for the first time, can I download the program to my mac and set everything up there and then just transfer the .tpz file and the docs file over to the tablet?  Much easier to type on the mac!

I am new to the mobile myself just uploaded my firt test to the cloud from my Ipad then downloaded to my desktop worked slick as snot once I grasped the concept

do you have the HIP app loaded on your lap top or what ever you are using I already had the 3.4.5 version hip on my desktop which was all I needed I was having a hard struggle with the App and what it was doing.

Dom will be along soon to give better help which I also have a question for him about the saving process on the Ipad I see no way to save the report during the writting process I assume it is only saved once its sent to the cloud

Charley, thanks for helping out! Brad, it depends on what kind of tablet you're referring to. If it's a Windows tablet, yes just transfer the tpz file to the Data folder on the tablet. If it's an iPad or Android tablet you'll need to use the Mobile Sync button in HIP 3.4.4 or above as Charley mentioned.

Charley, HIP Mobile auto saves every time you go to the main list of sections (kitchen, garage, electrical, etc).

I assumed it was saving itself but I get neverous when I am not saving it manually and have entered a long string of items.

I understand! Especially since you need to click Save in the full HIP program.
